Autoprotolysis

   Protonation of one molecule of a compound by a proton from another molecule of same compound is known as autoprotolysis.
      Example: NH3    +    NH3          -------------->                 NH4+   +   NH2-
                         H2SO4   +   H2SO4            ---------------->             H3SO4+   +   HSO4-
